Brennan presents regularly on character, athletic recruiting, mindfulness, discipline and other topics in college admission. A contributing writer for Forbes.com, he has written about college admission for the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Thrive Global, HuffPost, San Francisco Examiner, New York Times, Concord Monitor, Journal of College Admission and other publications. He has been interviewed about college admission by New England Cable News, New York Living, and ABC News. Brennan was a New England Association of College Admission Counselors Professional of the Year for 2017 and honored with the Association for College Counselors in Independent Schools’ Excellence in Counseling Award in 2021.

DIANE CAMPBELL, M.ED currently serves as President of the Rocky Mountain Association for College Admission Counseling (RMACAC) and is the former Chair of Professional Development for the organization. She was named the 2023 Colorado Council on High School/College Relations Counselor of the Year, the 2017 Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) Counselor of the Year, and received RMACAC’s prestigious Roger Campbell Award in 2019.

Diane is an active leader in the college admissions field, serving on national advisory boards for the College Board and Slate.org, as well as several college admissions counselor advisory groups across the country. She is one of only eight U.S. counselors selected to serve on the International Advisory Board for King’s College London.
A frequent presenter at both regional and national conferences, Diane speaks on a wide range of topics including college admissions, career development, and emerging trends in higher education. She has been a featured guest on several educational podcasts and cited in leading publications such as The Washington Post, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and Jeff Selingo’s book Who Gets In and Why.
With over 20 years of experience as a professional counselor, Diane has worked across university, high school, and middle school settings, supporting students and families in the college and career planning process. Originally from San Diego, California, she has also lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Chicago, Illinois; and now resides in Colorado. Diane earned her Master of Education in School and College Counseling from Colorado State University.

CAROLYN KALAHAR has been providing administrative support for Educational Futures consultants and students for over three decades. Carolyn delivers personalized assistance to our students completing their applications, organizes the supplemental essay process and gives instructions for submitting required supporting documentation. She ensures our students stay on track to meet all deadlines by establishing priorities and providing support throughout the application process. For our international families, Carolyn organizes all logistics related to campus visits including arrangements for domestic travel and lodging and ensuring that students maximize their time on campus.
ALAN HAAS founded Educational Futures in 1986. Now retired after 38 years, Alan worked with and supported students and families around the globe on the college search and planning journey. Alan was honored with the Steven R. Antonoff Award for Professional Achievement at the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) for his outstanding contributions to the profession of independent educational consulting.
