COMPREHENSIVE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL PROGRAM
EDUCATIONAL FUTURES provides personalized and comprehensive services to assist families with the process of considering, applying to and deciding upon the independent secondary school option. Following is a list of the major activities and steps that will take place.
- Initial consultation or teleconsultation with the family to review needs and objectives
(see Personal Consultation)
- Evaluation of educational record and qualifications; recommendations of appropriate schools for consideration.
- Provision of information, catalogs and application materials; interview techniques; recommendations for preparation for entrance examinations.
- Preparation of visit itinerary including personal appointments, travel and lodging arrangements, directions, maps; preparation for interviews; briefing and debriefing before and after visits.
- Assistance with preparation of applications and essays; liaison with current school officials to ensure proper documentation and letters of recommendation; review of all final application materials before submission.
- Liaison with schools applied to for the purpose of clarification and support of application; meetings as needed with the student and/or family throughout the process; review of school choices and consultation regarding the final decision; other assistance as necessary to ensure a satisfactory result.
